I watch as 99% of celebrities are helping spread the word about how it’s cool to stay home. Nurses and medical workers are taking to social media to encourage (beg) people to stay in their homes. Others are making sure the elderly have access to food and help. And then there’s me – at home with my two kids feeling like I could be doing so much more.
I know there are hundreds of thousands of people suffering, scared, bored, anxious… I want to do something, anything, to help my fellow people. So I am doing the only thing I can do – I am making activities and sharing them as best I can. As a mom and teacher I know how quick kids (and adults) can get bored. Keeping their minds engaged is a great way to minimize tension and build a positive environment. Money is questionable right now, we can’t hang with friends, we can’t make Target runs… But we CAN be creative!
So, I hope you’ll join me in staying active (mentally and physically) from inside our homes as we navigate the next few weeks. Visit my activity page I’ve titled Together At Home. I am on Instagram and Twitter and would LOVE to see what activities you do to stay busy. Tag me @thesavagemug & @mug_savage & use #savagemugfun in your posts to help spread the word.
Thank you!
